Indian tourist visa for a British national

eVisa 
An eVisa is available for this travel. The eVisas are valid for a single entry and 30 days stay only. This options would be useful for urgent trips. However, where time allows a standard "paper" visa would be a better option as it can be valid for 6 months multiple entries. Appointment system
Indian High Commission introduced appointment system with effect from 16/03/2015. Upon completion of online application forms the applicants will be asked to book a submission appointment. Personal appearance of the applicants is not required, but the submission is possible only on the day of the appointment.

Visa application form
Application form can be completed by:

  1. Following this link to the Indian Immigration Services to complete your online application form 
  2. AnyVisa can complete your online application form. Please fill out this questionnaire and email it to us before sending required documents. Completed form will be emailed to you for signature within 40 minutes during normal working hours. This will be charged additional to handling fee £20+VAT.

Media related applicants
Applicants related to media must show evidence that they are not intending to gather materials for publication during their visit. Letter from employer confirming this should be sufficient. Normally, only single entry visas are issued.

Applicants of Pakistani origin
Application will be referred to India  for approval, which can take up to 12 weeks. Passport will normally be returned for this time back to applicant. Once approval is received the applicant will be contacted by the embassy requesting the passport back. Normally only single entry visas are issued.

Applicants of Indian origin
Must show certificate of surrender of Indian nationality or at least one previously issued Indian visa.

You can deliver your documents to our office:

  • by AnyVisa courier (London; courier delivery fees); please let us know when your documents are ready for collection
  • in person or by your courier service at any time between 9am and 6pm from Monday to Friday
  • by post via Royal Mail Special Delivery for arrival before 1pm (do not post for Saturday delivery unless prearranged with one of our representative)
